Tours
focus on the women of Mayo Home history. Louise Mayo, wife of Dr. William
W. Mayo and mother of Dr. William James and Dr. Charles Horace Mayo.
Founders of the Mayo Clinic. Louise Cosgrove, wife of Edward
Cosgrove of Green Giant Company history. Mothers admitted free with a paid
admission.

Giant Story

“A Giant Story” celebrating Le Sueur’s Green
Giant heritage is set for Saturday, August 2, 2008,
from 12 to 4 p.m. at the historic W. W. Mayo House and Mayoview
History Center. Displays in the
Mayoview History Center, a Green Giant artifact and memorabilia display
and tours of the historic Mayo Home emphasizing the 40+ years three
generations of the Cosgrove family of Green Giant history lived / were born in
the home are event highlights. “A
Giant Story” is held in conjunction with Le Sueur’s Giant Celebration.
Giant refreshments.
Fall
in the Valley
Saturday, October 4, 2008
12 to 4 p.m.
Stop
at the Mayo Home for an entertaining and educational tour as you take a scenic
drive through the Minnesota River Valley enjoying the beautiful fall color
changes. Demonstrations will be offered along with musical entertainment and
refreshments.
